OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION

• Manage and develop Polyurethanes (PU) strategic business unit (SBU) in Vietnam, mainly focusing on flexible foam Transportation, Furniture, Haptex and Coating-Adhesives-Sealant-Elastomer (CASE) applications.

• Build and execute activities for sustainable business growth in alignment with SBU strategy.


MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACTIVITIES


Business/Sales Development/Technical Support

• Contribute to profitable growth of Transportation, Furniture & CASE PU business in Vietnam.

• Develop sales strategy in alignment with A-PMA direction and ensure required support are obtained.

• Plan, organize and manage sales activities related to Transportation, Furniture & CASE segments.

• Promote new products and applications to existing or potential customers.

• Organize events (Seminar/Tech Day/Workshop) for strategic customers to gain business opportunities.

• Define & implement pricing strategy to reach optimal profitability.

• Establish relationships with key stakeholders of strategic customers.

• Ensure customers’ credit management is aligned to company's guidelines and risk management.

• Organise visits from RBU colleagues to drive business growth.

• Provide ad hoc and regular management reporting timely.

• Drive commercial projects through Sales Force.

• Support customers’ sustainability initiatives with our portfolio of solutions.

• Provide Technical Support where needed by customer.


Customer Management

• Keep close contact with existing customers and enhance business relationship.

• Develop new customers.

• Coordinate with BASF experts to conduct field visits, seminars, presentations and attend to customers’ inquiries.

• Conduct customers’ assessments and analyses to align and ensure the strategic focus in the right place.

• Ensure all supporting functions involved in the delivery of agreed customers’ needs; resolve problems/ expedite matters where appropriate.


Credit Management

• Monitor the growth of the customers’ business, review and coordinate with credit controlling team to make appropriate credit recommendations.

• Follow-up on payment collections and ensure on-time payment from the customers.


Market Intelligence

• Have in-depth understanding of customer needs, industry drivers, unique selling points to recommend the best solution(s), leading to the achievement of value creation for the customers and BASF.

• Identify and develop new market potential for any applications across product portfolio in coordination with RBU.

• Conduct studies on market dynamics, industry trends, competitors, products, applications, and technology.

• Establish database for target market segment, customer, and application.


Yêu cầu công việc

• Degree, in Chemistry or Commerce

• Minimum 5 years experiences in commercial; preferably in automotive or PU background

• Good knowledge of PU systems and in-depth understanding of the Vietnam Transportation, Furniture & CASE market and value chain.

• Good English and computer skills (MS Office).

• Chinese speaking will be an added advantage
