We are looking for skilled and responsible Test Track Engineer to join our proving ground team. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of driving tasks to support vehicle and system testing on our specialized test tracks, ensuring all activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with test protocols. This role requires precision, focus, and an understanding of vehicle performance and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform driving tasks to execute vehicle tests as per the defined test plans and protocols.
• Operate vehicles on various test tracks, including high-speed loops, dynamic platforms, braking tracks, and durability tracks, to evaluate vehicle performance.
• Follow safety guidelines and protocols to ensure the safety of personnel, vehicles, and equipment during testing.
• Provide detailed and accurate feedback on vehicle behavior, performance, and any anomalies observed during tests.
• Conduct pre- and post-test inspections of test vehicles to identify and report any mechanical or safety issues.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to ensure the accuracy of testing activities and data collection.
• Assist in the preparation of vehicles for testing, including loading and unloading ballast, configuring systems, or setting up test equipment as required.
• Maintain a professional and disciplined approach while driving under strict testing conditions.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience in driving, preferably in a testing or automotive environment.
• Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics, safety protocols, and basic mechanical systems.
• Excellent driving skills with the ability to operate vehicles at varying speeds and under challenging conditions.
• Ability to follow precise instructions and test protocols consistently.
• Basic technical knowledge of vehicle systems and testing processes is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, with excellent observational and reporting skills.
• Basic proficiency in English (spoken and written) is desirable to communicate effectively with engineers and supervisors.
