ABOUT THE POSITION:
Production Manager organizes and oversees the manufacturing processes. You will be ultimately responsible for the smooth running of all production lines, safety and the quality of output.
Production Manager ensures that manufacturing equipment and tools function properly and increase an organization’s efficiency. Their duties include building production schedules, making sure production processes stay within budgets and deadlines and reviewing the productivity of an organization’s manufacturing equipment.
Essential functions and key responsibilities are:
● Liaise with other managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements
● Estimate costs and prepare budgets
● Ensuring all safety and health standards are met to keep an organization accident-free
● Evaluating machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime
● Determine the number of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials etc.)
● Establishing a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs of manufacturing operations
● Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines without compromising safety or quality
● Ability to coach and motivate employees
● Setting productivity goals for team
● Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel
● Monitor production to resolve issues
● Communicating regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production
Experience
● Minimum 5 years of management experience in the same field and in a multinational manufacturing environment preferred
Skills/personal qualifications
● Proven experience as production leader
● Deep knowledge of production management
● Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations
● Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts
● Experience in Lean manufacturing
● Experience in reporting on key production metrics
● Proficient in MS Office and ERP software
● Outstanding communication ability
● Excellent organizational and leaderships skills
● Attention to detail
● Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
● Effective English communication is a must.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:
● BSc in electrical, mechanical or industrial engineering or equivalent
