Key Role

This role will be mainly responsible for conducting inspections for all categories that covered by the company in his/her region, provide inspection reports, resolve quality issues, follow up quality improvement projects with vendors, and ensure quality compliance & consistency of all products and packages shipped to the customers. This position will be required to work in alignment with internal functional teams including Quality, Sourcing, Supply Chain team in Ferguson Asia offices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-shipment inspections for final products, evaluate product quality from safety, performance, compliance, appearance, and packaging, ensure the products have no significant quality issues before shipment, and provide reports in a timely manner.

• Feedback the quality information to QC supervisor/manager timely and support to prepare the quality documents.

• When being requested by QA and agreed by QC supervisor, support QA to conduct on-site product quality evaluation, tests in vendors.

• Resolve the quality issues together with vendors.

• Corrective actions onsite follow-up for complaints from customers, verify the effectiveness, work together with QA to drive vendor quality improvement.

• Assist QA for sample review, verify the QC form. Update QC form when needed.

• Finish other tasks assigned by superior.

• Education: College or above, preferable major in Engineering or Science.

• Over 6 years working experiences in quality & compliance related fields, including over 3 years inspection experience of at least three of the following products: Lighting, Plumbing, hardware, sink, kitchen, and bathroom products, etc. Preferred candidate with experience in inspection of lighting.

• Knowledge of QC process such as AQL. Be able to read engineering drawings.

• Capable with analytical and problem-solving skills, systematically identify root causes and propose solutions.

• Capable with communication skills with different functional teams and vendors.

• Good command of English, able to read and write English emails with foreign associates for any inspection problems. Capable to read standard or other audit documents, basic spoken is a plus.

• Conscientious, self-disciplined, self-motivated, open-minded, willing to learn different new knowledges. Strong adaptability under high pressure and be flexible for changes.

• Willing to travel frequently.

• Practical use of MS O365.
