A. JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Sustainable Architect to join our team to manage environmentally responsible design initiatives across various building projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong architectural background, in-depth knowledge of sustainable design principles, and a passion for integrating green building strategies from concept through construction.
The Sustainable Architect will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop design solutions that meet sustainability goals, comply with green building standards, and respond to climate resilience, energy efficiency, and occupant well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
• Integrate sustainable design strategies into all project phases and types (when applicable) to minimize environmental impact, reduce energy consumption, and promote sustainable living;
• Drive initiatives and collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure sustainability goals are met or exceeded;
• Lead or support green building certifications, such as LEED, LOTUS, EDGE, WELL, Green Mark, or other relevant frameworks;
• Prepare detailed sustainability reports, material assessments, energy modeling input, and documentation for client and regulatory submission;
• Research and evaluate innovative technologies and materials for sustainable performance;
• Proactively innovate and develop sustainable design approaches that add tangible value to our deliverables and elevate the client experience;
• Advise clients and stakeholders on environmental impact, life-cycle cost, and long-term sustainability benefits;
• Assist with climate-responsive design analysis, including daylighting, ventilation, and passive energy strategies;
• Ensure compliance with local and international environmental codes and building regulations;
• Conduct internal presentations and workshops to share knowledge and promote practices across teams.
• Education:
o Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture and/or Environmental Design;
o Professional registration in Architectural Design is preferable;
o Possession of a Green Design Certificate (e.g. LEED AP, LOTUS AP, EDGE Expert,
WELL AP, Green Mark AP etc.) is a strong advantage.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in Architecture, with at least 2 years
focused on sustainable design.
• Technical Competencies:
o Proficiency in architectural software such as Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc.;
o Proficiency in energy modelling tools;
o Proven experiences with Green Building certified projects;
o Solid knowledge of sustainable design frameworks (e.g. LEED, LOTUS, EDGE, WELL,
Green Mark);
o Strong understanding of local environmental regulations and global sustainability
practices.
