1. Upstream Planning – Material and Supplier Coordination
• Own material demand forecasting, purchase planning, and shortage mitigation.
• Coordinate with Sourcing, Buyers, and Suppliers to ensure timely PR/PO issuance and execution.
• Monitor inbound supply performance and escalate delays or disruptions.
• Ensure synchronization between material availability and production schedules.
2. Production and Capacity Planning
• Manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS) incorporating customer forecasts, production capacity, and supplier constraints.
• Release weekly Manufacturing Orders (MO) aligned with customer demand and shipment schedules.
• Track MO progress and work-in-progress (WIP) status to ensure timely execution.
• Optimize production flow to minimize idle time, bottlenecks, and overtime.
• Collaborate weekly with U.S. customer teams to align demand and production plans.
• Prepare and report weekly and monthly On-Time Delivery (OTD) performance.
3. Downstream Planning – Warehouse and Finished Goods
• Ensure material receiving (GR), inventory accuracy, and ERP compliance for WH operations.
• Set inventory parameters in ERP: reorder point, safety stock levels, ABC/FMR classification, and lead time.
• Work with internal warehouse and logistics teams to maintain optimal finished goods inventory and fulfill customer orders on time.
4. System and Process Excellence
• Maintain ERP/MRP data accuracy and drive planning parameter optimization.
• Leverage data tools (e.g., Power BI) to analyze forecasts, capacity utilization, and planning KPIs.
• Drive continuous improvement in planning processes using Lean principles and SCM fundamentals.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing planning role with end-to-end supply chain visibility.
• Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and production planning principles.
• Fluent in English and Vietnamese; able to communicate clearly with U.S. teams.
• Proficient in Power BI or equivalent analytics tools for planning analysis.
• Deep understanding of SCM concepts: Kanban, BOM, ABC/FMR classification, lot-sizing, safety stock, lead time analysis.
• Proactive and collaborative problem solver with strong ownership and adaptability.
• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification is a plus.
